Tango Tales Sires First Winner - Time to Tango Wins Her Debut

Freshman Sire and newest RSA stallion Tango Tales had his first winner yesterday after the impressive debut victory of Time to Tango, a 2yo bay filly out of the Prized mare Blizz Honor. The smart winner fought for the lead during the initial 600 meters of the 1,000 meter event (approximately 5 furlongs) and stopped the clock in 1:02 flat, drawing off by 10 lengths from her opponents. The filly races in the colors of RSA and was an RNA at the 2011 Rancho San Antonio Mixed Sale.

Tango Tales is by Leading Sire Tale of the Cat out of Mambo's Tango, by Kingmambo. A winner in USA, cost US$600,000 as a 2yo in training and raced for John Oxley and was trained by John Ward.

Mon Gateau Cruises Home in the Slop to Win Her Debut

Mon Gateau, the roan daughter of Blueformer out of Mandeville, by Langfuhr, sloshed home impressively over a sloppy track to decisively defeat the colts, stopping the clock in 1:02 0/5 for the 1000 meter event. The game filly is owned by Ramon and Ricardo Contreras and is trained by Eugenio Deschamps.

Marian Takes the First 2yo Race of the Season

Marian, the bay daughter of Abuelo Domingo P. and Cool Tune MD, ran wide entering the final turn of her 1000 meter debut and despite scraping the outer rail prevailed over her rivals in a very good 1:01 2/5. The filly was sold at the 2011 Rancho San Antonio and was purchased by Moises Lopez.
